Across the parking lot at the World Stage, three-piece Cloud Nothings are playing to a growing crowd. Lead singer Dylan Baldi plays an electronic guitar that goes right to the heart. Their sound dances from dark to poppy to guttural, and their demeanor is so laid back one almost gets the impression that they don’t realize where they are. All three are unassumingly dressed, and both Baldi and bassist TJ Duke stand in place and keep their eyes glued to their strings, picking furiously, building from “Stay Useless” at the beginning of their set to an encore of “Wasted Days,” stone cold professionals.
